The Role
We're hiring a senior engineer to build the AI platform powering intelligent agents at a well-funded startup. You'll own the orchestration engine, evaluation systems, and production infrastructure that enables AI to reason, plan and safely act across complex workflows.
This isn't a chatbot role. You're designing the foundations that future AI products will depend on.
What You'll Build
- Core orchestration & runtime for agentic AI systems
- Retrieval, grounding, and evaluation pipelines
- Memory and personalisation architectures
- Production agents that operate reliably at scale across mission-critical workflows
- Engineering patterns and best practices for AI across the company
- Shipped production AI systems, agentic workflows, or LLM-powered products
- Experience building AI infrastructure (orchestration, retrieval, evals, memory)
- Strong software engineering fundamentals (TypeScript)
- Can take ambiguous technical problems and drive them from concept to production
- Excellent communication & technical judgment
- AI evaluation frameworks
- Multi-agent systems
- Production RAG architectures
- AI observability & monitoring
- Experience with systems under production load
