Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 + strong commission
Benefits: Strong benefits package, flexibility & autonomy

NearTech Search is a specialist technology recruitment business operating at the sharp end of the rapidly growing UK AI Tech market. We place specialist Engineers and  Technology Leaders into high-growth and scale-up businesses across our existing AI Technology Desks (Software, Data, Cloud) – niche, innovative and in-demand high value markets.

This is a genuine opportunity to create, shape and scale a high-performing contracts desk in some of the most sought-after technology markets, with the backing of an experienced recruitment leader and an existing client base that already offers real cross-sell potential for contract solutions.

You'll have the autonomy to build the desk your way, working shoulder-to-shoulder with permanent consultants covering the same clients and technologies. We have a clear market strategy and an approach which works – we have a friendly, ‘no ego’ culture and are looking for someone who wants to work in that type of environment!

The Principal Contract Recruitment Consultant Will…
  • Build and scale your own contract book from day one
  • Stand up a new technology contract recruitment desk within our AI markets
  • Develop contract and interim solutions across NearTech's existing client accounts
  • Win and grow new business, focused on the AI technology markets we already cover
  • Own the full contract recruitment lifecycle end to end
  • Help shape the long-term contracts strategy for the business
  • Grow your desk into your own AI technology recruitment division
What we're looking for
  • Proven technology contract recruitment experience (2+ years)
  • Strong business development and client management skills
  • Genuine ambition to build and grow a contracts function
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and comfortable with a blank canvas
  • Able to work autonomously while collaborating with the wider team
What's on offer
  • £40,000 – £55,000 base salary
  • Strong uncapped commission, paid monthly and quarterly kickers
  • Hybrid working (3 days per week in Altrincham)
  • Flexibility and autonomy — your desk and your team to build, with guidance
  • Excellent progression as the division grows
  • A supportive, collaborative, purpose-led (B Corp) environment
  • The chance to build something genuinely exciting inside a fast-growing business
If you want to build a successful contracts desk in some of the most in-demand technology markets globally — with the support, clients and infrastructure already in place - we'd love to hear from you. This is the perfect time to join NearTech and take the next step in your career.
