About the Client & Opportunity
Our client is an industry-leading SaaS business providing critical safeguarding and health software across the UK education sector. Operating a modern stack (React, TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, MongoDB), they are launching a new product innovation initiative designed to turn operational insights into user-facing, value-add features.
They are seeking a product-minded Full-Stack Engineer who thrives on autonomy, rapid experimentation, and customer-centric UX. You will turn concept ideas into working, high-quality features quickly—testing, learning, and iterating directly with real users.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Product Delivery: Build and ship polished user experiences across React/TypeScript front ends and Node.js/TypeScript APIs.
- Rapid Prototyping: Leverage modern AI tools to rapidly build working demos, test product hypotheses, and iterate based on user feedback.
- Data & AI Experiences: Integrate analytics, summaries, and automated reporting into intuitive customer workflows.
- Quality & Governance: Deliver reliable, secure code adhering to strict privacy and safeguarding standards.
- Commercial full-stack engineering experience across JS/TS front ends (React) and backends/APIs (Node.js/TypeScript).
- Strong eye for UX, detail, and customer-facing product quality.
- Product-focused mindset—shipping to validate and learn rather than just clearing tickets.
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate build cycles and prototyping.
- Practical database experience (SQL and/or NoSQL like MongoDB) and cloud deployment (AWS).
- Previous experience building data- or AI-driven capabilities (e.g., LLM summarisation, natural-language reporting).
- Background in early-stage product delivery (0→1) or fast-paced scale-up environments.
- Experience with data visualisation tools or working alongside data warehouse platforms.
- Prior exposure to EdTech, HealthTech, or regulated data environments.
- Competitive salary (~£75,000).
- 100% UK remote work setup.
- High level of autonomy with direct influence over product direction.
- Collaborative, experiment-led culture.
- Pension contribution, flexible working hours, and career development budget.
