NearTech Search has recently partnered with a unique start-up in the Tech4Good space, who focus on innovative AI and Machine Learning solutions. With an ever-growing emphasis on technological advancements in this realm, the business has capitalised on AI and ML technology, helping to provide valuable insights to clients in the social wellbeing and healthcare space.
The company was founded by two ex-Harvard professors and has been running for 18-months, already having received series A funding in excess of £5 million, with series B funding pending. For having only been around less than 2-years, the group has already secured multiple wins in the public sector and has grown from 2 to 17-members of staff, with ambitions to reach 45 by the end of 2024.
The company places a heavy emphasis on culture, working as part of a collaborative and ground-breaking team who looks to break apart our conceptions and technological processes to build new and innovative solutions from the ground up. As such, they’re looking for 3 x senior engineers to contribute to their ongoing success, people who are hungry for change, individuals that can work as part of a thriving and collaborative cross-functional team, and most importantly, want to be heard and share their technical expertise.
Whilst no two days will be the same, some of your core responsibilities will include:
- Working with the in-house scientific and technical team to gather requirements and translate these into tangible, technical solutions fit for purpose.
- Work to engineering best practices: code reviews, testing, durability and scalability are all essential tenets of the role.
- Work to high security and ethical standards – working as part of an engineering team dedicated to security and security engineering.
- Working on ML Model Pipelines, fine tuning LLMs for optimal performance.
Key technologies required:
- Deep understanding of Machine Learning, Machine Learning Architecture, Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)
- API deployment and hosting as well as Lambda functions in AWS
- 6+ years of hands-on, technical development experience in Python and/or Django framework
- A good understanding of DevOps / DevSecOps
- Database experience – MySQL, PostgreSQL, Couchbase
